Cory T. Holmes has worked with firms in all sectors since 1993, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, and consumer products, as well as, general recruiting. Prior to returning to Columbia Consulting Group, Cory spent five years, from 2004 to 2009, as President of HNH Partners, a contingent search firm. Before starting HNH Partners, Cory spent 11 years with Columbia Consulting Group, initially as a Research Associate progressing to Managing Director focusing on the Financial Services sector. For eight years prior to joining Columbia Consulting Group, he owned and managed a dry cleaning service with several locations servicing retail and commercial accounts.
What do you enjoy most about the search industry?
“As a competitive person, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Identifying and convincing the perfect candidate to consider exploring my client’s job opportunity is very rewarding. I also enjoy the variety; each assignment has many variables which keeps it fresh and challenging. Meeting candidates and discovering what makes them tick is always interesting.”
When you are not working, what do you?
“I enjoy spending time with my family. I’m involved in sports in varying capacities: playing lacrosse, soccer, basketball and football; lacrosse official, wrestling tournament director, webmaster for team websites, director of summer lacrosse camps and leagues. I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing, boating and water sports at the beach. Avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan.”
